Program: Images of Open Gardens 2013. There will be a brief presentation of what we learned from hosting this event and then a guided visual presentation of the 17 participating gardens.

Program: Fermentation
Natalie Elizabeth from Edible Alchemy: Fermentation Skill Share will be facilitating an interactive exploration into the fascinating world of fermentation. Learn how this ancient technique of food preservation can be used to improve health, rediscover cultural traditions and deepen connections with the natural world around us. In this one hour session we will talk about the science behind these transformations and tips for incorporating these living foods into your diet. Starter cultures like yogurt, ginger soda, water kefir and kombucha as well as artful, informative booklets will be available for sale."

I decided to grow it; now what do I do with it?

After a couple of years of traditional in ground gardening Anita Jacobson and her husband Tim went with raised beds so they would be able to continue to garden as they got older. Anita will talk about what they grow and how growing it fits their life. She looks forward to sharing some ideas of what to do with produce.
